Alarm Company Official Named to NFPA Standards Council

QUINCY, Mass.

Shane Clary, vice president of codes and standards compliance for Pacheco, Calif., alarm firm Bay Alarm Co. has been named by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to its Standards Council. Clary, a 32-year veteran of the security and fire alarm industry, will play a large part in the oversight of the NFPA’s codes and standards process.

Clary was instrumental in the creation of NFPA 731 – Standard for Electronic Premises Security Systems – which was issued last August and is now on a fast track to revision.

The NFPA Standards Council, composed of 13 members, administers the association’s codes and standards process and gives the final approval on whether codes and standards are issued.
