Alarm Detection Systems Acquires Safe Systems
Alarm Detection Systems of Aurora, Ill., has made its largest acquisition to date with the purchase of Colorado-based Safe Systems.
AURORA, Ill. – Alarm Detection Systems has acquired Louisville, Colo.-based Safe Systems, a privately-owned residential and commercial security business, in Alarm Detection’s largest acquisition to date.
As part of the merger, Alarm Detection will expand its footprint beyond the Midwest area and into the Western United States.
The acquisition was ideal for Alarm Detection because both security companies have similar reputations in giving best-in-class service, according to Alarm Detection Systems Founder and CEO Bob Bonifas.
“We are pleased to add the expertise and value that Safe System represents to our own 47-year history of quality operations,” he says.
Under the agreement, Alarm Detection Systems will maintain Safe System’s existing corporate headquarters and central station in Louisville, Colo, as well as its satellite office in Colorado Springs, Colorado to support sales and growth throughout the region.
Larry Halpern, the owner of Safe Systems, will be an integral part of the transition.
“We are very pleased that we were able to finalize a transaction with Alarm Detection Systems,” Halpern says. “Their emphasis on customer service and employee satisfaction makes me comfortable that they will continue to operate Safe Systems much as I have since I founded the company in 1982.”
