Allied Research Corp., a diversified defense and commercial electronic security firm, announces that one of its Belgian units, The VSK Group, has acquired VIGITEC, a Brussels-based video surveillance and telecommunications entity, in an all-cash transaction. “This acquisition fills a key niche in our drive to make VSK the one-stop choice in high-end integrated electronic security,” says Glenn Yarborough, president and CEO of Allied Research. “With this move, VSK has it all: good product, engineering, service and a very strong marketing team. Acquiring VIGITEC moves us another step in our planned diversification.” Allied Research develops and produces ammunition, supplies equipment performance upgrades for defense departments, and designs, produces and markets sophisticated electronic security and access control systems.
