Amherst Alarm Collects PDQ Award for False Alarm Reduction Prowess

The Amherst, N.Y.-based security provider proved its false-alarm reduction mettle to take home the hardware at the 2016 Electronic Security Expo.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Amherst Alarm was awarded the 11th annual Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award for its ongoing efforts to reduce false alarm dispatches during a special ceremony today at the Electronic Security Expo.

The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC), False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA) and Security Sales & Integration established the PDQ award program in 2005.

Also endorsed by the Installation Quality (IQ) program, the PDQ award program spotlights alarm installing and monitoring businesses for creating best practices that help prevent false alarm dispatches.

Amherst Alarm received the award during the Public Safety Luncheon. Engineered Protection Systems (EPS) was the PDQ Award runner-up for the second year in a row.
