Identix Inc., a worldwide provider of biometric authentication, security and identification solutions, announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, ANADAC Inc., has been awarded a contract for delivery and installation of its DC Track System by the Orange County (Calif.) Probation Department. Under the terms of the contract, ANADAC will provide software and services for a server and capture station in the county’s juvenile hall. The contract marks ANADAC’s entry into the probation marketplace.

Uses of the DC Track System range from a simple booking system to a full-featured case management system, including integrated facial recognition capabilities, evidence management, documents/people/images (both still and video) associations, alias name(s) associations and search capabilities on any field name in the database. The system purchased by Orange County will initially be used to capture demographics, booking photos, scar marks and tattoos.

“Identix is focused on providing a complete solution to our customers across all areas of our business,” says Identix Chairman/CEO Robert McCashin. “Our Live Scan and photo-identification technology enhances the ability of the law enforcement community to identify criminals, either through fingerprint or facial recognition, or through a combination of both.”
