AnyVision Names Silicon Valley Tech Veteran Avi Golan CEO

Golan comes to visual AI software provider AnyVision after leading large organizations across multiple products and verticals inside big tech companies like Google and Intuit.

NEW YORK — AnyVision, a provider of visual AI software, has appointed Avi Golan as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Golan is a 20-year Silicon Valley veteran who has held key leadership roles at companies like Google, Intuit, Air New Zealand and most recently, SoftBank.

As CEO at AnyVision, Golan will draw on more than 30 years of experience in operations, technology innovation and business to harness AnyVision’s exceptional growth and transform it into a technology giant in the visual AI space, according to the company.

AnyVision says Golan brings to the role a proven track record of leading and growing businesses, building strategic partnerships and executing successful transactions.

In his position as operating partner at SoftBank, Golan was said to have identified compelling strategic investment opportunities in AI, robotics, life sciences and deep tech and served on the board of some of SoftBank’s most successful companies, including CyberReason, Auto1, Behavox and Gympass, where he was instrumental in unlocking value and transforming these growth businesses into category leaders.

“When I first met AnyVision’s co-founders Eylon Etshtein and Alex Zilberman about a year ago, it was very clear to me that I was witnessing a transformational technology and a unique group of people embarking on an incredible mission. AnyVision has become a powerhouse of computer vision capabilities on a global scale and I see a significant opportunity to grow the company and take its business to the next level,” says Golan.

Prior to his time in Silicon Valley, Golan spent 12 years in technology and leadership roles at several software startups. He currently serves on the board of multiple private companies, early to late stage, mentoring and supporting founders in the areas of go-to-market strategy, globalization, product and technology.

“As a company that is on the verge of becoming the leader in the visual AI space, it’s our duty to bring in highly successful, seasoned professionals to key positions, including the CEO role,” says Etshtein. “We are fortunate to have several extremely qualified candidates express interest in this position. However, as soon as Avi started the process with us, there was no question in my mind, or the Board’s, that he was absolutely the best person to lead this company into the future. As AnyVision works hard to meet the increasing demand for visual AI enterprise solutions, I can’t think of a better and more capable leader than Avi to help us carry our mission forward.”

Etshtein, who formerly served as AnyVision CEO, will continue to support the company in his new role as the company president.
