Arecont Vision Reveals Camera Integration With Eagle Eye, New Logo

Arecont Vision MegaIP megapixel camera families are now supported on Eagle Eye’s Cloud VMS.

LOS ANGELES — Eagle Eye Networks and Arecont Vision Costar announce a partnership for supporting next generation Arecont Vision MegaIP cameras on the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS.

“Many of Arecont Vision’s customers have long been demanding a secure and robust commercial cloud solution for their VMS,” says Dean Drako, CEO of Eagle Eye Networks. “Our partnership with Arecont Vision now provides these customers with the solution they’ve been waiting for.”

The following series of Arecont Vision MegaIP megapixel camera families are supported:

  • MegaDome G3
  • MicroDome G2
  • MicroDome Duo

“We are excited to partner with Eagle Eye Networks and expand Cloud video management system options for our customers around the globe,” says Jeff Whitney, vice president of marketing, Arecont Vision. “A strong Cloud video management system that supports our popular MegaDome G3, MicroDome G2 and MicroDome Duo cameras from the Made in USA MegaIP series will be well received.”

Additional Arecont Vision camera families will be added per customer requests going forward, according to the company. The Eagle Eye Cloud VMS currently supports a wide variety of IP, analog and HD-TVI cameras from hundreds of manufacturers.

Arecont’s New Logo

After being acquired by Costar Technologies in July, Arecont Vision has updated its logo to reflect its new parent company (see above).

“The black ‘Arecont’ pays homage to the original Arecont Vision that led the way in megapixel video since introducing the industry’s first megapixel cameras in 2004, and the first multisensor megapixel cameras in 2006.  The blue ‘Vision’ represents the new Costar corporate parent and our forward-looking future. We’re actively building out our teams and aggressively hiring, and have new significant new capital resources for additional R&D and support investments,” says Whitney.

Arecont says it will be gradually introducing its new corporate logo over the next few months across its websites, packaging, products and various collateral.
