SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Arizona electronic security company Safeguard Security and Communications has made its second acquisition in three months, acquiring Mesa, Ariz.’s R&M Security. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition adds another 900 residential clients to the more than 13,500 installations throughout Arizona and New Mexico in its portfolio. Safeguard, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., purchased Santa Fe, N.M.’s Akal Security in December.

Robert and Marie Graziano started R&M in 1978, and Robert says he is leaving his company in good hands. “Safeguard’s reputation for excellence gave me the peace of mind that customers will be well taken care of and experience outstanding customer service,” he said in a statement.
