Armed Intruders Target Chris Brown’s L.A. Home

Three armed men broke into R&B singer Chris Brown's Los Angeles home, forcing his aunt into a closet during the intrusion.

LOS ANGELES – R&B singer Chris Brown can’t seem to catch a break.

Three armed men broke into the singer’s Los Angeles-based home around 2 a.m. on July 15, and forced his aunt into a closet as they ransacked his property, Associated Press reports.

Brown’s aunt told authorities that she opened the door to the house after hearing a commotion outside. The three men then forced their way inside and locked her in a closet.

The intruders, who were armed with handguns and wore bandanas around their faces, got away with an unknown amount of cash, electronics and personal items, according to police.

Brown’s aunt was not hurt. It is unknown how long she was in the closet.

Investigators have not released descriptions of the suspects; however, authorities said they were surveying the neighborhood around the gated property at the end of a secluded street, and are currently seeking video surveillance footage to help them find the suspects.

Brown was not home during the incident.

This is the second reported break-in at the R&B singer’s home this year.

In May, Amira Kodcia Ayeb, 21, was accused of breaking into a home Brown was renting about 17 miles away from the recent incident, E News reports.

Brown reportedly found Ayeb naked in his bed when he returned home. She was arrested on suspicion of first-degree residential burglary, stalking and vandalism. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
