ASIS Finalizes Plans for 51st Annual Seminar and Exhibits

ASIS Int’l has announced the final program for its 51st
Annual Seminar and Exhibits. The seminar will be held Sept.
12-15 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando,
Fla. This year’s exhibit will have more than a half-million
square feet of the latest security technology and
innovations.

More than 850 vendors will showcase the products and services that are shaping the industry. Attendees will be able to find solutions, and to talk to top product experts, service providers and manufacturers to address all of their security needs.

This year’s educational program features more than 135 sessions, including 33 dedicated to homeland security, and covers emerging issues and topics ASIS says are crucial to today’s security management professionals. Sessions will address such critical areas as: crisis management, terrorism, physical security, information technology, risk management and investigations. All sessions have been peer-reviewed and selected from a field of entries in a highly competitive submission process.

General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State, will serve as keynote speaker for the Sept. 13 morning session. He will speak on leadership and “taking charge” in times of great change and great crises.

Other keynote speakers include Ken Blanchard, co-author of the best-selling book, “The One Minute Manager” and Fox News Channel commentator Stuart Varney.

Also on hand will be Robert Ballard, who located the Titanic and other underwater discoveries. Ballard will close the program on the afternoon of Sept. 15.
