ASIS Int’l announces broadcast journalist Tom Brokaw will be among the keynote speakers for the 54th annual ASIS Int’l Seminar and Exhibits, held Sept. 15-18 in Atlanta.
The keynote lineup also includes political consultants James Carville and Mary Matalin, and Flags of Our Fathers author, James Bradley.
Brokaw spent 21 years as the anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News, and continues his work with NBC producing documentaries and breaking news stories. He has won numerous awards including the Edward R. Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award, an Emmy for Lifetime Achievement, the Records Achievement award from the Foundation of the National Archives, and the George Catlett Marshall Award from the Association of the U.S. Army. Brokaw is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Carville and his wife Matalin, former assistant to President George W. Bush and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney, will speak on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Bradley, who’s best-selling book was released as a movie in 2007 depicting the famous American flag raising on Iwo Jima, will speak at the closing luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 18.
ASIS 2008 is expected to bring together more than 23,000 security, business and government professionals during the four-day event.
