The Protection of Assets (POA) manual is now an ASIS Int’l
property. ASIS announced Jan. 6 that it has purchased the
manual as an additional educational resource, calling the
POA the “bible of the security industry.”
“We are pleased to have the POA Manual under our direct
management,” says ASIS Executive Director Michael J.
Stack. “We feel we can enhance the reputation of the manual
to ensure that it maintains its place
as the primary resource for security professionals, no
matter for which corporation, government agency, or service
organization they work, or for which particular security
specialty.”
A team of security experts under the guidance and direction
of Michael Knoke, CPP, will handle the book’s editorial
content. The manual has been published since 1974.
