ASIS 2016: Dahua Delivers 5-Year Warranty to Its Dealers

Video surveillance provider also unveils new cameras and a recorder.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Dahua focused on five new product releases at the show: 4K cameras; HDCVI 3.0 DVR; HDCVI 4-megapixel (MP) cameras; multilens camera; and WiFi Lite cameras. Raleigh Gerber, corporate communications manager, said the relative newcomer has seen exponential growth and participated in the surveillance solution for the recent Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She also touted Dahua’s five-year warranty, which covers all IP and HDCVI cameras or storage devices, and is now available to all Dahua dealers regardless of their level of participation.

The firm’s 4K 12MP camera series offer a range of upgrades that include reduced compression rates, higher frames per second, onboard storage, a motorized vari-focal lens option, and audio I/O. The HDCVI DVR features Penta-brid compatibility with support for the five most popular industry standards – IP, CVI, analog, AHD, and TVI – and offers Smart H.264 codex dual-stream video compression.

The HDCVI 4MP cameras include: fixed lens bullet model with Smart IR up to 40m; vari-focal bullet with Smart IR up to 60m; fixed dome with Smart IR up to 30m; and fixed eyeball camera with Smart IR up to 50m. The multilens camera is a 6MP panoramic multisensor IR bullet form factor designed to capture wide areas that typically would require multiple cameras. The new WiFi camera lineup includes a 2MP, 4x pan/tilt/zoom, 3MP fixed dome and 3MP fixed bullet style.
