ASSA ABLOY Company Wins Access Distribution Deal

SAN JOSE, Calif.

An ASSA ABLOY company has won exclusive distribution rights
to sell a Swedish company’s hands-free access control
product worldwide. The Bewator Group signed the agreement
with Indala Corp., part of ASSA ABLOY’s Identification
Technology Group (ITG), for the Cotag access control
product.

The Bewator Group, one of Europe’s major suppliers of access and video control equipment, has signed an agreement providing Indala Corp., an ASSA ABLOY company, with exclusive worldwide distribution rights to sell its range of Cotag line of proximity and hands-free cards, tags and readers.

“The agreement between Indala and the Bewator Group is great for everyone,” says Marc Freundlich, president of Indala. “Existing Bewator customers benefit from Indala’s extensive supply and support capabilities worldwide, while new customers get a fresh look at the latest Cotag hands-free technology.”

Indala will stock, program, and ship products and provide customer support from its corporate headquarters in San Jose, Calif.
