IRVINE, Calif. — In a consolidation of access control manufacturers under the ASSA ABLOY umbrella, HID Corp., Indala, Access ID, Synercard and two other companies are consolidating into one company and brand.
The new entity, under ASSA ABLOY’s Global Technology Division (GTD), will be known as HID Global. The combined access control brand made its debut in April, though HID and Indala had been in the process of consolidation since the beginning of the year.
“Combining the various businesses under one industry-leading brand enables HID Global to better position our company to meet the needs of our customers,” says Denis Hebert, who was previously HID president and will now serve as president and CEO of HID Global.
The consolidation combines the HID and Indala brands of access control readers and cards with Access ID secure card solutions, Synercard digital identity and photo card management software, Interlock card manufacturing services and BUGA electronic cylinders.
