ASSA ABLOY Gains Distribution Rights for Access Control Product

SAN JOSE, Calif. — An ASSA ABLOY company has won exclusive distribution rights to sell a Swedish company’s hands-free access control product worldwide.

The Bewator Group signed the agreement with Indala Corp., part of ASSA ABLOY’s Identification Technology Group (ITG), for the Cotag access control product.

The Bewator Group, one of Europe’s major suppliers of access and video control equipment, will provide Indala Corp. exclusive worldwide distribution rights to sell its Cotag line of proximity and hands-free cards, tags and readers.

“The agreement between Indala and the Bewator Group is great for everyone,” says Marc Freundlich, president of Indala. “Existing Bewator customers benefit from Indala’s extensive supply and support capabilities worldwide.”

Indala will stock, program, and ship products and provide customer support from its corporate headquarters in San Jose, Calif.
