IRVINE, Calif. – A company that is part of ASSA ABLOY’s identification group is extending its reach into the Western Hemisphere. Smart-card reader manufacturer OMNIKEY has opened its Americas headquarters in Irvine, Calif., with longtime HID Corp. and former Honeywell executive Debra Spitler as president.
“The whole smart card industry in America is starting to change. It was time for OMNIKEY to address the market from a U.S. perspective,” Spitler says.
