Atronic Alarms Celebrates 30 Years in the Industry
LENEXA, Kan. — Atronic Alarms, based here, is celebrating its 30th anniversary as a provider of security systems to Kansas residents.
Started in 1982, the business has evolved from a small local alarm company to one of the largest security integrators in the region. Providing access control, video surveillance and home automation solutions to clients, Atronic Alarms currently serves thousands of commercial and residential accounts and employs 31 staff members.
“This incredible milestone never could have been realized without the dedication of our amazing employees,” company owner Perry Atha says. “Their hard work and professionalism have helped us grow into one of the most respected and forward-thinking companies in the industry.”
Despite a turbulent economy, Atha still sees many opportunities for his company to continue growing, in part, by leveraging new technologies. For example, the firm has been an early adopter of providing interactive services that allow clients to remotely manage their systems as well as other solutions.
“While the struggling economy has created challenges for us in the consumer market, we have offset that through increased demand for our customized commercial solutions, such as utilizing video analytics to monitor power stations, indoor retail spaces and outdoor equipment lots,” Atha says.
A recipient of numerous industry awards, including a 2010 SAMMY Award for Best Display Advertisement and the 2009 Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award. The company has also received recognition for its assistance in protecting abuse victims through its work with the non-profit Kansas City Domestic Violence Protection Services Agency.
“We look forward to many more decades of serving our community, protecting our clients and fostering a great work environment for our employees,” Atha says.
