AVAD, a distributor of custom home electronics, has opened a new distribution center in San Jose, Calif.

“We’ve been looking at adding a San Jose location for a number of years,” says Tim Fitzpatrick, vice president of AVAD Northern California. “The Northern California marketplace is booming, as is demand for state-of-the-art electronics and lifestyle amenities. As a result, our dealers have been asking for a distribution center in this area for some time. This new location will provide convenience and save our valued dealers considerable time and money.”

The 18,000-square-foot San Jose facility will house a complete inventory of residential system solutions. Customers will also realize training opportunities at the branch site along with technical and sales support.

“We’re very excited about the growth outlook for the northwestern United States. This facility is an example of AVAD’s regional expansion plans and investments in both our company’s and our dealer’s future. Our dealers demand the very best in service and support, and we’ll be able to deliver that thanks to this new location,” says Bob Gartland, AVAD’s president.
