The Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative has chosen Axcess Inc. as its exclusive provider of networked digital video and personnel, vehicle and asset management products and solutions to its members. The Cooperative’s membership is made up of more than 715 government entities, including Texas school districts and municipalities.
The cooperative was created so members could electronically purchase products and services from competitive bids submitted by suppliers, avoiding individually seeking multiple bids.
Under a contract to become effective April 1, 2002, a member of the Cooperative can use an Internet-based purchasing Web site called BuyBoard to purchase directly from the approved contract, or receive price quotes based on volume from Axcess for its security products and services.
