Axis Communications is now offering an out-of-warranty repair service, which offers fixed-rate repairs based on a three-tier pricing model, ranging from $75 to $250, after the three-year warranty expires.

By using the new service, customers will be able to ship Axis network cameras to the Axis Service Center to be evaluated and notified of repair costs. Once authorized, Axis will repair the cameras and ship them back to customers within 48 hours of their receipt.

Unless expedited shipping is requested, customers are not responsible for shipping costs.Axis continues to provide customer services such as support for members of its channel partner program through dedicated phone lines, priority E-mail support and 24-hour turnaround for in-warranty replacement.

The company is also offering the Axis Communications Academy, a network video education and certification program that has certified more than 1,200 Axis partners around the U.S. and at the Mikael Karlsson Training Center in Chelmsford, Mass.
