The bullet-style AXIS Q1941-E thermal IP camera is designed for detection in challenging conditions. The camera is outdoor-ready out-of-the-box and is ideal for perimeter protection of facilities where early detection of an intrusion attempt is critical, according to the company. The model is the first thermal camera to support both electronic image stabilization, which helps reduce the effect of vibrations, and Axis’ Zipstream technology, which lowers bandwidth and storage requirements, according to the company. It is equipped for five lens alternatives: 7 mm, 13 mm, 19 mm, 35 mm and 60 mm.

The pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) AXIS Q6128-E offers 4K Ultra HD resolution, four times greater than HDTV 1080p. Compact and suitable for both outdoors and indoors, the camera provides full scene fidelity and sharp images in all directions, according to the company. This makes it ideal for a range of applications such as shopping malls, parking lots and sports stadiums, as well as city and perimeter surveillance, according to the company. Its built-in video analytics functionality includes motion detection and Advanced Gatekeeper, allowing the camera to detect an object in a specified area and zoom in on it.

Both series additions are expected to be available in the fourth quarter.
