Barix Real-Time Clock Keeps Audio and Control Devices Ticking

Published: December 13, 2012

Barix of Oakdale, Minn., releases the real-time clock accessory that ensures that audio and control devices continue operating uninterrupted during network failures, according to the company.

The self-sustaining reference clock plugs into any device with an RS232 serial port and maintains time, even when unpowered, for years, allowing the RTC to provide time information immediately after a device startup, independent of a network-based time reference, the company says.
