HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of North Alabama is warning residents about a new scam involving door-to-door alarm company Alarm Protection.

BBB representatives claim that the Salt Lake City-based alarm firm is using high pressure tactics to get consumers switch from their current security providers to Alarm Protection, WHNT.com reports.

The Alarm Protection salespeople allegedly promise consumers substantial discounts on security services if they sign with the firm. However, after signing a contract, customers never hear from the representative again, according to a North Alabama BBB spokesperson.
