System Sensor of St. Charles, Ill., releases the single-ended, reflection-type BEAM200 smoke detector for open area protection, providing early warning of a potential fire. This smoke detector is effective in high ceilings and other locations where traditional spot-type smoke detection devices are too difficult to install or will not work.
Beam alignment is performed using an optical sight and a 2-digital signal strength meter, making this model much easier to align than dual-ended projected beam models. Open smoke detection coverage with the BEAM200 is 16 to 328 feet.
