Bell Canada and March Networks recently announced an agreement to co-develop, market and sell advanced digital video surveillance services in the Canadian market. According to March Networks, the plan is to provide small, medium and large enterprise clients with an Internet-based surveillance solution that takes advantage of the technological experience and expertise of both firms.

Internet-based video surveillance is designed specifically for organizations that require secure, reliable and sophisticated surveillance in applications such as retail, financial business and transportation, to name only a few. In such applications it is often necessary to capture critical video images for security and business management purposes.

According to March Networks, the surveillance solution that Bell Canada and March intend to offer will enhance security while lowering total cost of IT ownership while increasing operational efficiency throughout the enterprise.

Under terms of the agreement, Bell Canada and March Networks will co-develop custom applications for joint customers at the recently opened Bell Advanced Solutions Innovation Centre, a joint venture between Bell Canada and the Wesley Clover group, which is located in Montreal.
