BENTONVILLE, Ark.—Recently, a false alarm prevention ordinance was implemented that could affect residential and business alarm owners. The county ordinance limits the total number of false alarms to three per every six months. For every false alarm after the fourth offense, the offender will receive a $100 fine. False alarms that occur in hospitals, schools, nursing homes and government agencies, along with “acts of nature,” are exempt from the ordinance.
