Berk-Tek of New Holland, Pa., a Nexans Company, has added new components to its OneReach power over Ethernet (PoE) extender system.
The new components include a higher-powered remote port, a smaller rack-mounting bracket and a plenum version of the copper/fiber composite cable. Compliant with TIA and IEEE standards, the OneReach system allows users to install PoE powered devices up to 4,000 feet from the telecommunications closet to the device, maintaining consolidated power backup, according to the company.
