BICSI to Introduce New Information Transport Credential

Tampa, Fla.

BICSI, an association supporting the information transport systems (ITS) industry, is preparing to release a new credential in the upcoming year. The Registered Information Transport Professional (RITP) credential will allow individuals with formal education and industry-related qualifications to obtain ITS documentation.

“The RITP represents a major step for BICSI in clarifying the roles and qualifications of the ITS professional,” says Jerry Bowman, BICSI NxtGEN Committee Chair. “Having this professional credential will enable sales, educational and management professionals to proudly instill the same confidence in their industry knowledge and professionalism that RCDDs have for decades.”

The association is expected to announce the application process and requirements for the RITP credential shortly. However, interested professionals can begin the process by completing the ITS Fundamentals exam available at BICSI CONNECT. Five courses designed to prepare applicants for the ITS Fundamentals exam are also available on the site.
