BICSI Releases New Datacenter Design Curriculum

TAMPA, Fla. – BICSI, an association advancing the information and communications technology (ICT) community, has released the newest course in its suite of training options in the field of datacenter design.

Datacenter construction in the global market is expected to register a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21% through 2018, according to BICSI. This will drive demand for qualified ICT professionals who are knowledgeable in datacenter design.

BICSI’s latest five-day course, “DC102: Applied Data Center Design and Best Practices,” provides an in-depth review of best practices for designing datacenters. Throughout the course, students are introduced to various datacenter infrastructure systems and have an opportunity to apply what they learn by engaging in case studies, discussions and real-world scenarios.

The new course was developed based on ANSI/BICSI 002-2014, Data Center Design and Implementation Best Practices. Considered the foundation standard for datacenter design around the world, ANSI/BICSI 002-2014 provides requirements, guidelines and best practices applicable to any data center. The standard, coupled with the DC102 course, gives individuals vital training to design and implement these important systems, according to BICSI.
