Bosch Security Systems has been helping those in need, sending care packages to overseas troops and raising money for the 2006 United Way of Greater Rochester (N.Y.)/Red Cross Campaign.
In recognition of Armed Forces Day (May 20) the Bosch Customer Care Committee received more than 200 donations from more than 50 members of its staff, collecting everything from cough drops to sunscreen to handheld games and envelopes with stamps. Three packages were sent.
Bosch raised more than $31,000 for the cause, topping its contribution last year. The money will go to fund local providers and programs that help children, families, people with disabilities, seniors, and neighborhoods throughout the next year.
