FAIRPORT, N.Y. — Christopher Gerace, CFO for Bosch Security Systems in North America, has added the title of acting president after Shamus Hurley’s recent departure from the company.
Hurley left his position as president of Bosch Security Systems and has relocated to Cleveland to become CEO of a large water filtration corporation. He had been with Bosch Security since joining the company in 2002 as vice president of sales.
Gerace will continue as interim president while the company conducts a search for a permanent successor to Hurley, who was promoted to president in 2005. No further management reorganization is expected at this time, a company spokesperson told SSI.
Gerace has been with Bosch for 10 years, during which he fulfilled a central role in the successful integration of Detection Systems and Philips CSI into Bosch Security Systems.
