Shamus Hurley has left his position as president of Bosch Security Systems and will relocate to Cleveland to become CEO of a large water filtration corporation, Security Sales & Integration has learned.

Christopher Gerace, CFO for Bosch Security Systems in North America, will serve as acting president. The company is conducting a search for a permanent successor to Hurley, who was promoted to president in 2005.

Hurley had a 20-year history in the fire alarm and security industry. He had been with Bosch Security Systems since joining the company in 2002 as vice president of sales. Before joining Bosch, Hurley held sales and management positions at Honeywell in its Protection Services, Building Services and Automation Control divisions.

No further management reorganization is expected at this time, a company spokesperson told SSI.
