Bosch Security Systems Inc., a supplier of electronic security equipment, announces it was chosen to provide a new digital security and wireless IP communication solution to the Port of Greater Baton Rouge in Louisiana.
The Port hired Vanguard Technologies to integrate the new security system in order to cover the multiple location facility, which includes the main Mississippi River Terminal and the Inland Rivers Terminal.
Vanguard Technologies used Bosch’s VideoJet 10-MPEG 4 Encoders, which are capable of connecting more than 60 devices, including fixed and pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) cameras from Bosch. The encoders also enable the Port to manage bandwidth across a large IP network, with connectivity provided by an IP network that includes point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless devices.
Bosch’s VIDOS Video Management System was also chosen by Vanguard Technologies. The system included four network video recorders, four network video servers with 1.5 terabytes per server and 5 VIDOS Video Management Workstations.
