Bosch Security Systems has signed an agreement with United Kingdom-based Emizon, an IP-based messaging service for 21st Century Networks (21CN), to provide a stand-alone telemetry communications device (TCD) that will enable alarm panels to directly connect to the Emizon service platform.

The TCD will be distributed throughout the U.K. utilizing Bosch’s extensive distribution contacts. The device features 16 pin alarm inputs and dual path IP and GPRS signaling.

Bosch Product Manager Darren Cox says the TCD will enable installers to easily connect to the Emizon service platform while maintaining high security standards associated with traditional dial path signaling services.

“There will now be no need for a designated PSTN line with the associated rental costs, and monitoring costs will also be subject to cost savings,” Cox said.
