Bosch’s NetCom System Receives NIST Encryption Certification

FAIRPORT, N.Y

Bosch Security Systems announces its D6600 NetCom system has received the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certificate for encryption.

NIST recently announced the approval of Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) for the Advanced Encryption Standard, FIPS-197. It specifies Rijndael as a FIPS-approved symmetric encryption algorithm that may be used by U.S. Government organizations as well as anyone else needing to protect sensitive information.

The D6600 NetCom System received NIST certification, AES Algorithm Certificate #82, for full data transmission using Rijndael encryption. With Bosch’s patented Dialer Capture technology on the C900TTL-E, NetCom can perform full data transmissions for Bosch Security Systems’ panels in addition to virtually any manufacturers’ panels.
