MILWAUKEE and SUFFERN, N.Y.

Brady Corp., a manufacturer of identification, safety, graphic systems and specialty materials announces it has acquired Temtec Inc., a manufacturer of security printing products. Temtec holds more than two dozen patents for its identification products and processes, and had sales of $6.1 million in 2001. Brady plans to market Temtec products, including its patented visually changing paper (VCP) technology and TEMPbadge®, to security markets not previously served by Temtec.

David Hawke, president of Brady’s Graphics and Workplace and Solutions Group, says, “With today’s increased importance on safety and security around the world, customers are looking for simple, yet highly effective solutions to a wide range of security identification issues, from identifying authorized individuals to controlling access to secured areas. Temtec’s proprietary products help meet these needs and fit well with Brady’s mission to provide innovative identification solutions that help customers improve safety and security, as well as productivity and performance.”
