Brijot Ramps Up With Key Staff Additions

ORLANDO, Fla.

Brijot Imaging Systems Inc., a provider of advanced millimeter-wave concealed object detection and other screening systems, has added four executives to expand the company’s business development and sales and marketing efforts domestically and abroad.

The company also recently announced its move into new 18,000-square-foot headquarters in Lake Mary, Fla., located about 30 minutes north of downtown Orlando. The facility accommodates expanded office space and product demonstration and customer training facilities.

The staff expansion is an integral part of Brijot’s greater investment in its technology, increased focus on new markets and its positioning as a global player, says Brijot CEO Mitchel Laskey.

The new appointments are:

Troy Techau, with more than 22 years of experience in the U.S. Army directing security and intelligence teams, is vice president of business development. He will be responsible for developing and maintaining Brijot’s worldwide relationships with long-term government and military partners.

Russell Waddill, with more than 15 years of experience in the security market in both sales and consulting, is vice president of sales, North America. His prior experience includes positions with Bosch, Gallagher and Pelco.

Gary Tryon, whose industry experience includes strategic planning for the aviation industry both in planning for and responding to terrorism and weapons of mass destruction-related incidents, will serve as sales manager, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa).

Christine Willard, with more than 20 years of experience in technology marketing, is director of marketing. She will be responsible Brijot’s worldwide marketing activities.

“Brijot has been making significant investments in its passive millimeter wave technology in recent months bringing to market a commercially viable solution geared to airport checkpoints, perimeter protection, loss prevention, employee safety and high-security facilities,” Laskey says. “With our expanded team, Brijot has strengthened its sales and marketing team and will further cement its global presence.”
