Brink’s Revises Earnings Figures

RICHMOND, Va.

The Brink’s Co. has revised its 2004 earnings figures that
increase its net income for the year. Brink’s, whose
previous reported figures were already a company record,
now reports a 313-percent increase in earnings in 2004 from
2003. Brink’s previously reported its earnings t_ci_newsView.cfm?nid=2126>in February. The recording
of two noncash items have warranted the revision.

Brink’s net income for 2004 was $121.5 million, up from
$29.4 million the previous year. The company had revenues
of $4.7 billion, compared with $4 billion in 2003.

New figures were not reported from Brink’s subsidiaries,
including Brink’s Home Security.
