Briscoe Helps Local Volunteer Fire Departments With Life-Safety Equipment Training

The Long Island-based fire alarm and security specialist supports local fire departments in the New York City area with a new products training board.

CENTEREACH, N.Y. – Briscoe Protective Systems, a provider of fire, security, video surveillance and access control products and services – is supporting volunteer fire departments on Long Island by lending its fire “training board” free of charge.

Briscoe designed the interactive products display, which includes a fire alarm panel and standard on-the-job safety devices. The company is lending the display to fire departments to help train volunteers on the basic operation of the required fire alarm system safety equipment.

As a public service, Briscoe Protective Systems feels the training board can save money for volunteer fire departments throughout the New York City area by not having to pay a fee to rent training equipment.

“We have just launched this new training board on Long Island and feel strongly about expanding our reach throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties to help our volunteer fire districts save money and keep operating effectively,” says Briscoe CEO Bob Williams.

Local fire departments can request that a Briscoe staff member assist with the training when applicable. “We provide a Briscoe staff member to stay on hand to assist with the training; alternatively, we can coach local fire district representatives on how to conduct their own internal training with our board,” says Williams.

Fire districts can also reduce training costs by using Briscoe as an educational resource to answer other fire alarm-related questions as needed.
