BROADWARE RECEIVES $7.7M FUNDING FOR SURVEILLANCE.COM SERVICE

CUPERTINO, Calif.

BroadWare Technologies, a provider digital video for broadband networks, has announced its plan to expand services for remote-video monitoring following the acquisition of $7.7 million in funding, led by New Vista Capital, with additional investment by McKenna Ventures, Hitachi Corp., and Defta Partners. BroadWare is using the funds to advance development of surveillance.com, a Web-based video surveillance system launched in April and sold exclusively through security dealers. Dealers include Construction Protective Services, Greater Alarm, JP Enterprises, PEI Systems, RFI Communications and Security, Remote Viewing Solutions, and Vidcom Solutions, which have signed reseller agreements with BroadWare. “In the current down market where fewer companies are receiving additional funding, this round is a tremendous vote of confidence for BroadWare’s ability to build and sustain a viable business for its investors,” states Regis McKenna, chairman of BroadWare Technologies.
