SAN FRANCISCO — The California Alarm Association (CAA) hosted around 500 installing security contractors, manufacturer representatives and other industry stakeholders from across the United States for its annual winter convention.
Held at the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel, the event (Dec. 4-7) offered attendees a series of educational sessions, a keynote presentation by former ADT CEO Tim Whall who shared best business practices, the annual Executive Symposium moderated by ESX Chair George De Marco, plus various networking activities.
A highlight each year is the bestowing of the CAA George A. Weinstock Award during a formal dinner and ceremony. The award recognizes lifetime achievement and service to the security industry. This year’s honoree was Bob Michel of Valley Alarm, a family operated business that has been serving the greater Los Angeles area since 1981.
