The requirement for students at one Northern California school to wear electronic badges has been lifted. Students had been required to participate in the testing of a program that would track their location and attendance through electronic badges, a program started just last month at Brittan Elementary, according to KMGH-TV.
Parents had protested the requirement saying children should have the option to not participate because the tracking violated their right to privacy.
