Camden Door Controls has unveiled its new CV-945 standalone biometric fingerprint reader, the company announced on Monday.
The CV-945 features a vandal resistant cast aluminum housing equipped with one relay output and one exit button input. It can store up to 100 fingerprints — 97 finger templates and three for programming.
It also provides a Form C contact and interface that connects to a secure area relay to close off access to the door control circuit.
The CV-945 can connect to a remote relay unit in a secured area, which serves as a request-to-exit push button, according to Camden Door Controls.
No computer is necessary to add or delete fingerprints. Setup is simple by scrolling and taping on the sensor, which the company says is equip with a sensing technology that can detect fake finger mechanisms. A special coating on the sensor protects against scratching and other wear and tear that fingertips and fingernails could potentially cause.
