The C-CV854D-3 from TOA Electronics Inc. of South San Francisco is a vandal-proof color mini-dome camera with day/night functions designed for indoor and outdoor use. The housing is made of a die-cast aluminum alloy, and the dome cover is made of a polycarbonate resin, which means it’s rugged and able to take a significant impact. TOA’s new camera is also rated IP66, which means it is dust-proof and waterproof.
The C-CV854D-3 uses a 1/3-inch CCD imager rated at 500 TV lines of resolution. It also makes use of a vari-focal lens designed to accommodate three axis view-angles. The C-CV854D-3 also sports an optional heater unit, Model No. C-A854H. The camera as a whole comes with a 3-year warranty.
