Powered by software featuring optical character recognition (OCR) to read cards from all 50 states and over 30 international countries, the Snapshell IDR uses a built-in 3 megapixel camera to snap high-quality digital images of ID cards, populating the card’s text into appropriate fields within 2-3 seconds. It uses a USB 2.0 connection, features no moving parts and requires no calibration, allowing users to place their card facedown on the window and have the system to do the rest.
