Campus Safety Journal Under New Ownership
Bobit Business Media, the parent company of
Sales & Integration magazine, has acquired Campus
Safety Journal(CSJ), a business-to-business
magazine read primarily by school administrators, campus
police/security officials and those responsible for
purchasing safety and security equipment for schools and
universities. The acquisition includes the Campus Safety
Conference, a trade show and conference for campus safety
CSJ‘s editor, Tom Nelson, will remain with the
magazine in the same capacity. Mike Zawinski, publisher of
SSI, will serve in the same position for Campus
Bobit Business Media, in
its 43rd year, publishes 21 business-to-business magazines,
produces nine trade shows/conferences and more than 20
industry Web sites. Campus Safety Journal will join
Bobit’s Protection Division alongside HREF=http://www.securitysales.com>Security Sales &
Integration and HREF=http://www.policemag.com>Police magazines.

For more than 10 years, CSJ has been recognized as
the definitive source for information on safety and
security on our nation’s middle school, high school,
college and university campuses. Bobit plans several
enhancements to the magazine and refinements to its
editorial while switching the magazine to a bimonthly
schedule beginning with the September issue.
Bobit Business Media will also oversee the Campus Safety
Conferences designed for the training of campus safety
professionals at the secondary school and higher education
levels. The event will feature more than 13 seminars of
critical importance to campus safety decision-makers and
staff. The Campus Safety Conference will take place from
Nov. 15-17 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Philadelphia.
