SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Toronto-based integrator is teaming up with United States-based manufacturer Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) to provide the first networked bank security solution to win ULC approval.
The installation by integrator Intercon Security will replace existing control panels at 1,149 branches of an unnamed Canadian bank with DMP XR500E panels that use 128-bit encryption to transmit through Internet protocol routing to the central station.
The project will also combine ULC-rated vault and safe protection with access control and networked video, as well as the banks’ automated banking machines (known as ATMs in the U.S.).
