Montreal-based Capitol Industries has released five access control products.
The products include the Magnetic Cam Lock, M-1000 Magnetic Cylinder Shield, M-2000 Magnetic Cam Lock Shield, M-5000 Magnetic Key Safe and M-7000 Magnetic Cylinder Shield and Latch Protector.

The Magnetic Cam Lock has no keyhole, therefore provides basic access control while reducing the possibility of glue, dirt and microbial contamination. It prevents picking, bumping and unauthorized access in a discreet manner, according to the company.
Capitol’s Magnetic M-1000 and M-7000 protect and hide lock cylinders and latches behind a corrosion-resistant sliding plate made of anodized aluminum. They protect the lock against vandalism, bumping, picking, drilling, unauthorized Key Use and extreme weather.
The M-2000 Shield covers the lock of cabinets to provide basic access control. It prevents picking, bumping and unauthorized access in a discreet manner. It fits over the existing lock so no dismantling is necessary, according to the company.
All three products work with the designated magnetic key.
Lastly, the M-5000 Magnetic Key Safe provides a secure alternative to carrying multiple keys. There are no keyholes to jam up, pick or contaminate, and no codes to remember or lose.
