Steve Roth, president of Security Group, announces that Joe Cappelletti has been named to succeed him as president of ADI. Cappelletti, who was promoted to general manager of ADI earlier this year, will now lead North America’s largest wholesale distributor of security and low-voltage products.
“I feel extremely privileged to have been handed the baton to run ADI,” says Cappelletti. “Steve Roth led us to become the most preferred supplier in the industry. Now that he has moved up, it’s up to us to take this company to the next level. To do that, we must continue improving our service level and providing our customers with the best products from the top manufacturers.”
Having joined Pittway as a sales representative in 1978, Cappelletti was part of the group that started ADI in 1985. He has seen the company grow from 10 branches to more than 120 convenience centers and nearly 800 salespeople. In addition, Cappelletti continues to support false alarm reduction and other important issues that impact the security industry.
